Dan is the Senior Creative Counsel for Straightline, working with our team on selected engagements that take advantage of his unique experiences. His portfolio includes such iconic brands as Condé Nast and New York magazine where, as Creative Director of Marketing and Events, he helped establish its early leadership position in the digital world of 24-hour coverage, blogs, and branded content.
Dan then spent time as a Design Director at Interbrand working with global brands such as GE, Covidien, and Victoria’s Secret. As the Senior Partner, Creative Director at Tenet Partners, his clients included many well-known and respected brands, among them IBM, Smithsonian Libraries, CFA Institute, John Deere, and The Institute of Culinary Education. While at Tenet, his team’s work was also featured in many design competitions, including Graphis and Print magazine.
As a believer in the power of strategic design to provoke thought and action, Dan has helped organizations such as Empire State Pride Agenda, AmeriCares, and The Alliance for Downtown New York find their voice and articulate their mission.
In 2015, Dan Dyksen Design was launched. Clients include Broadridge, provokr.com, Keystone Strategy, Independence Blue Cross, Comcast, Medtronic, Anheuser Busch, Exelixis, and Atlantic Philanthropies.
Dan learned his craft at the Maine College of Art and Fashion Institute of Technology.
